Madeleine Burt’s latest solo show displays new work that continues to explore two archives local to her: the Moth Archive at Wollaton Hall and the Lace Archive at Nottingham Trent University.
The previous work based on these archives questioned what we choose to preserve, and draws upon recurring themes within Madeleine’s work of preservation and loss.
This new work, however, looks at the idea of shared and lost knowledge from a C21st stance, and queries the impact of hyperreality on our ability to connect with genuine artefacts.
